Improv!

Explore the power of spontaneous creation! While this is important fundamental training for actors, it is also a very engaging and helpful learning experience for everyone. Students will develop valuable life skills including attentive listening, thinking on the spot, speaking with confidence, clear communication, and team work. We will enjoy creating and collaborating through various games, activities and exercises using objects, scenarios, characters, emotions, places, movements, voices, and more. The possibilities are endless!

Physical Theatre

Students will enjoy exploring the realms of story, idea, and emotion through physical movement, and create short works to to present at the Performance Exhibition. While physical theatre itself is nonverbal, it may also be combined with music, voice, and other art forms. The class will include various forms such as characterization, comedy vs tragedy, slapstick, silent film, mime technique, rhythms, and so much more.
