About Outta Theatre
Outta Theatre began in the fall of 2012. We offer piano & voice lessons, acting & mime workshops, summer camps, as well as Kids & Teen Theatre programs with regular performances. Outta Theatre provides practical training combined with performance experience in a safe, creative, learning environment. Instead of learning technique in a standard class setting or auditioning to be on stage for a specific production, the Outta Theatre experience combines the benefits of both worlds. Our programs create customized productions to enable everyone to get a part. Each student will enjoy the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence in the spotlight, and experience the energy of a live audience. Outta Theatre's versatility enables us to produce plays, variety shows, mime-dramas, Cabarets, Murder Mysteries, and more!
Angie Settlemire
Angie holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Grove City College, a certificate of Ministering Arts Leadership from Living Word Bible College, and she also graduated as a professional Journeyman of Mime with a specialization in directing from Mimeistry International School of Arts in Pasadena, CA. Angie’s experiences include serving as assistant choreographer and director for the mime-drama, Alice in Wonderland, at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, joining the cast in Light’s Up Productions musical, Lost in Vegas, in East Hartford, CT, and performing as a mime artist for various events and street festivals throughout the US – including a wedding at a Renaissance Festival! She also served as assistant director for the University of Hartford’s Teen Musical Theatre Intensive for 3 years, sang as a featured soloist in Handel’s Messiah at the Barrow Civic Theatre Franklin, performed in multiple physical theatre tours in western Europe, served as president of the Grove City Art’s Council for 2 years and directed the Grove City Art and Theatre Camp for 5 years.
In 2012, Angie founded Outta Theatre in Grove City, PA, where she currently teaches private voice and piano lessons, along with theatre programs for kids and teens. There she writes and directs original productions, with an emphasis on helping every student reach their fullest potential.
Meredith Reed
Meredith Reed is a Grove City College student studying Christian ministry and minoring in Theatre. Some of Meredith's credits include directing “Lyle Lyle The Crocodile” for Grove City College, stage manager for Godspell, Viola in “Twelfth Night”, Helena in “A Midsummer's Night's Dream”, Portia in “Julius Caesar”, and Mrs. Muller in “Doubt The Parable”. In 2020, she received an honorable mention from the Pittsburgh Shakespeare competition. Meredith wants to encourage students' gifts on stage and cultivate their love of theater!
Joyce Aiello
For 50 years, Miss Joyce has developed her theatrical experience. She studied Theatre and Voice at Slippery Rock University, and received a Bachelor’s in Theology with Emphasis in Performing Arts through Christian International School of Ministry. Numerous workshops, symposiums and conferences have rounded that education. But the greatest development of her skills and passion for theatre comes from playwriting (hundreds of original dramatic and musical works), directing, acting, and teaching.
Teaching and directing the performing arts began at Hoyt Institute in New Castle, PA and has stretched over these many years in several US states, at numerous community centers, Homeschooler’s Association, private academies, and scores of church Drama Ministries being raised up. She exposed these “student actors” to New York City missions, Access Broadway competition (resulting in students advancing to Broadway or West coast careers), East coast summer touring, and scores of community performance outreaches. Her vision has always been to educate students in communication and life-skills--discovering their talents and ability to create, in a safe and joyful environment. Within every child there is a tremendous storehouse of expression and imagination just waiting to be discovered and brought forth. Her goal is to unlock those storehouses for every student, so that they will mature in them and become better equipped to excel in their future goals and callings. Miss Joyce currently serves as Director of Living Word Troupe at Living Word Church, New Wilmington, PA
Luke Leone
Luke has studied and performed piano and voice for 16 years. Over the past decade, he has performed in a variety of collegiate, professional, and community theatrical productions and independent films. Some of his credits include playing Harold Hill in The Music Man, Charles Marlow in She Stoops to Conquer, and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes. For his performances as Charles Marlow in She Stoops to Conquer and Michael Trent in End of the World with Symposium to Follow, Luke was nominated for the Kennedy Center’s Irene Ryan collegiate acting competition. For his performance of “Hai Gia Vinta la Causa” from The Marriage of Figaro, Luke was a winner of the 2015 Grove City College Concerto Competition. After college, Luke participated in the Pittsburgh Fellows and worked for 4 years at the tech startup in Pittsburgh Wolfe LLC. Now he has devoted his career to teaching others the joy and beauty of music.
Jessie Beatty
Jessie Beatty is currently a senior at Penn West Edinboro University studying Illustration and Painting. She especially enjoys working in watercolor, oil paint, and graphite. Her dream is to write and traditionally illustrate her own children’s books and graphic novels.
Before college, she attended acting and piano classes at Outta Theatre and dance, acting, and musical theater classes at Keystone State Music Theater Performing Arts Academy.
Charlie Hubbell
Charlie Hubbell is a professional improv comedian with the traveling show “Scriptless in Seattle”. He joined Scriptless 2 years ago, and since then, he has toured 9 states performing in theatres ad teaching workshops in schools. Charlie participates in improv while he studies music education at Grove City College, and he is vice president of the college’s group “Crimsonprov”. Charlie believes improv is an excellent way to connect with students and give them an opportunity to grow in confidence. He also sees improv as a chance to teach kids about what makes for quality humor and entertainment. Charlie’s favorite improv games are the ones involving music, and he loves to make a fool of himself to give others a hearty laugh!
