Theatre Bootcamp

Through many different activities, improvisation, games, and scene study, students will craft their skills in Theatre Arts. They will explore character development, physical theatre, voice technique, and more. This is a foundational class that will help prepare students to be successful and confident in future productions with Outta Theatre and elsewhere. This class is required for new students to participate in future productions. This is a combined class, great for all skill levels. Students who are committed to growing in their skills should consistently enroll in as many workshops and classes as possible. This is not a “one and done” class. Students interested in being eligible for the Encore program are required to show a strong commitment through consistent enrollment.

Radio Theatre meets Physical Theatre in this hilarious parody. Written and directed by Angie Settlemire. Performed by Outta Theatre Teens June 2016.

What makes Outta Theatre classes different?

1.       Practical training combined with performance experience in a safe, creative, family friendly learning environment.   Instead of just learning technique in a standard class setting or auditioning to be on stage for a  specific production, the Outta Theatre experience combines the benefits of both worlds.

2.       Customized productions.

3.       Everyone gets a part, guaranteed.   Every student will enjoy the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence in the spotlight, and experience the energy of a live audience.

4.       Performance diversity: Variety shows (short scenes, monologues, musical acts, improvisation, physical theatre, and more), Plays (comedy or drama), Mimeodrama (Physical theatre with spoken dialogue), radio shows, and more.
